Summary | 0000686: developer_options.txt - exclude all shells but master shell
Description | Related to 0000242 I happened to find this report some time ago, and it describes a feature that would help me a lot. Specifically this part: "use shell/ and !shell/master/ ignores shell folders except shell/master" I have a couple of ghosts which have 50 or more shells, where I only want to distribute the master shell in the nar file and updates. I would like to streamline my workflow on these ghosts since I now transfer work between two computers regularly, but changing the old setup I used for these repositories will make it very annoying to manage these additional shells when I have to create nar files/update files. Since this functionality was not added in 2021 when it was first proposed (as far as I can tell), I am guessing it is difficult to add, maybe due to other programs which read developer_options.txt. But, I thought I should ask to be sure. If the idea of using a mask like shell/ and !shell/master/ will not work, is there anything else we could come up with to make this possible?
